Principal Sales Distributor

We have openings for the position of Principal Sales Distributor for the upper Mid-West, Southeast and Southwest territiories.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred, (in Sales/Marketing/Management) and/or related education/training in the medical field (e.g., Physician's Assistant, Physical Therapy, Registered Nurse, Certified Orthotist).
- Orthopedic industry knowledge a must. Sports Medicine a plus.
- Ability to build and lead a sales team.
- Ability to effectively run an independent distribution organization.
- 5–10 years experience in sales/sales management with medical products/devices, preferably orthopedic products.
- Proficient with computer (Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer relationship skills.
- Ability to motivate and effectively coach others.
- Excellent group presentation skills.
- Leadership skills.
We strongly prefer candidates with knowledge and experience with orthopedic products (specifically orthopedic bracing) and verifiable examples of their effectiveness at a previous employer in a sales/sales management capacity.
Essential Functions
The Principal Sales Distributor will be required to: establish a field office; build a team of sales representatives, work with field sales representatives to attain company sales goals; identify new markets; seek out and establish new accounts; develop sales forecasts; assist in writing persuasive proposals; work with sales representatives contacting and selling to new and existing customers; target accounts; coach and motivate sales representatives effectively; conduct customer product training; customer, and competitive information.
Our expectations are that the Principal Sales Distributor's efforts result in increased sales for the Company and achievement of quarterly and annual sales objectives.
The Principal Sales Distributor must be able to motivate, supervise, work effectively with and get along well with others; and creatively and effectively communicate to express him/herself.
This position requires exclusive distribution of the Bledsoe Brace line without competing lines being represented. Any complimentary lines are welcome.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study required with emphasis on product design for manufacturing.
- 5 – 10 years “hands on” experience in AutoCAD, and/or Solidworks or Pro-E, regulatory affairs, engineering/design controls, and extensive project management (preference given to some medical/orthopedic product design experience).
- Experience preferred in designing products and parts for metal stamping, complex bending & forming, machining (laser cutting, automatic screw machine, plastics injection molding, foam manufacturing processes).
- Minimum 5 years supervisory or management experience in engineering capacity.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Able to interact professionally and effectively with production personnel, engineering team members and management team.
- Computer skills (required in AutoCAD or Solidworks preferred in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project).
We prefer candidates with knowledge and experience in Medical products.
Essential Functions
The Manager of Engineering is a working manager position and will be responsible for the design
of new orthopedic devices and/or the redesign of existing components to improve quality, appearance,
function, performance, and reliability while maintaining cost objectives; will work “hands on” with
manufacturing personnel, in analyzing the working functions of our Company products. Responsible for
planning, control, and supervision of engineering projects from inception to release. Determine
feasibility of projects, manage a small group of engineering professionals and inventors, compliance
issues, engineering operations and team leader. Dependability and excellent attendance are also expected
Candidates should currently be at the management level or higher. Candidates must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to function at the senior management level. Reports to: Director of Manufacturing
General Job Functions
Plans and designs manufacturing processes in manufacturing plant. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications. Determines root cause for production problems and works with Product Engineering and Production Staff to eliminate production problems. Lead role in plant environmental health and safety, and the technical execution of capital investment projects.
Essential Functions
- Analyze and reduce scrap and rework in production areas.
- Research and propose new manufacturing technologies that will improve production capabilities and reduce product cost.
- Work with Quality and Purchasing to resolve vendor quality issues.
- Responsible for supporting manufacturing pre-production and pilot builds activities.
- Responsible for the timely implementation of Engineering Change Notices.
- Provide technical expertise and direction to the Product Design group relating to manufacturability, cost, and workflow.
- Conduct monthly safety and environmental inspections as part of the Safety Team.
Supervision
Receives general supervision of overall job functions. May be asked to lead teams on specific projects.
General Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering plus four years applicable experience, or Associate’s degree in Engineering plus six years of applicable experience. Direct experience with a wide range of manufacturing and assembly processes.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply financial methodology to product and project costing.
Computer Skills
Computer literate (AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Project).

Minimum Job Requirements
- 2+ years experience in a professional environment.
- Experience in use of Macintosh and Windows platforms.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver/Flash web applications.
- Solid experience with Web design, implementation and management.
- Strong proficiency with XML, CSS, VB/Javascript, and Active Server Pages.
- Ability to integrate Web designs with e-commerce back-end.
- Solid knowledge and experience with print production.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as an open attitude for taking creative direction.
- Ability to effectively carry out multitask operations/projects, prioritize and meet deadlines is essential.
- Ability to work with self motivation and accuracy on multiple projects to completion
- Must be an effective team player.

Essential Functions
The Graphic/Web Designer will be required to:
- Design and produce a variety of printed materials including product instructions, training materials, posters, and video/CD/DVD labels; produce conceptual illustrations, logos, charts, graphs that effectively convey complex and highly technical concepts and messages.
- Design and manage corporate website.
- Design and produce graphics and materials for trade shows and special events.
- Assist in the creation of a wide range of print design and production services including direct mail, collateral, and other marketing/sales materials.
